How will DoCRM improve my business process?
Beginning
from the day you implement it DoCRM will improve your company’s
productivity. From that point on, the more you use it,
the
more powerful the data will become. There is not a high
learning curve, as it’s easy to use. In turn, your salespeople
will readily use it. DoCRM will allow them to focus on
selling,
not on how to organize their data or how to generate a
report required by the sales manager for the next sales
meeting.
Additionally, the built-in report generation and its ease
of use will allow them the ability to produce detailed
reports
with the touch of a button. Examples of reports they can
generate are; sales from lead sources, deal fallout, what
lead sources are producing the most accounts, what stage
the opportunities are in, and much more.
What
are the differences between ASP and Intranet versions?
The ASP
(Application Service Provided) version of DoCRM means we
host your data on our secure servers. The benefit to your
organization is 24 X 7 availability, with access from any
Internet enabled computer from anywhere in the world. Additionally,
with ASP hosting tech support is usually not involved with
the implementation. The intranet version involves us sending
you a CD copy of DoCRM on disk. You then install the DoCRM
on your server and then host the service for your organization.
You will not need to install any additional software on
your end-users computers.
Is
it easy to network?
Yes, because the end-user views the application
through a browser, there is no need to install a copy on
his or her computer. They are logging on to the server with
any changes made appearing immediately to anyone else logged
on.
Can
I access my info over the web?
Yes. Either via an ASP hosted or Intranet
model.
How
much time does it take to implement?
For the
Intranet version, after the initial installation and set-up,
which requires about the same time as installing your average
application, all updates are handled via the server. This
means you do not have to get IT involved in any upgrades
or servicing. For the ASP version, implementation is immediate.
What
kind of reports can DoCRM generate, and how difficult are
they to procure?
Examples of reports DoCRM can generate are;
sales from lead sources, deal fallout, what lead sources
are producing the most accounts, what stage the opportunities
are in, lead lifetime and more. To generate a report the
salesperson simply presses a button.
Can
DoCRM link to my legacy data?
Currently
DoCRM has the ability to easily export and import in comma-separated
value (CSV) and XML formats providing a smooth integration
with other applications and easy access to legacy data.
What
if I purchase it and I don’t like it?
We offer
DoCRM for a 30-Day trial before we request a qualified
purchase order or ask for a payment
method. We don’t expect you to pay for software you are
not going to use!
Do
I have to involve my IT department in the implementation?
For the Intranet version, because of the
DoCRM implementation model, after the initial install and
set-up you should rarely have to involve your IT. An example
of when you would need to involve IT would be for a product
update. For the ASP version, in most cases IT does not have

What platform does DoCRM run on and what are
the system requirements?
The
ASP hosted version requires Microsoft’s Internet Explorer
web
browser and will run on any Windows based OS. The Intranet
version currently requires, NT/2000. The intranet version
runs on top of Lotus Domino R. 6. Each user needs a Lotus
Notes license. We are qualified resellers of Domino and
Notes and will supply the licenses as needed. The server
system requirements are 10GB of HD space and 256 MB RAM
for the Intranet version.
What
kind of security does DoCRM have?
DoCRM security for the Intranet model is
built around the security of Lotus Domino. The America Connex
servers hosting the ASP version has the same Domino based
security with the addition of a firewall.
What
if I don’t have access to the Internet, can I use
DoCRM
offline?
Yes, you can work offline with either version.
The next time you are in the office or have access to an
Internet enable computer you can synch your data.
How
does DoCRM synch with the main database and how often?
In
other words, if I make changes when I’m on the road, how
will the changes synch with DoCRM at my company’s
main
location?
For the ASP version, DoCRM will automatically
synch the next time you log on. For the Intranet version,
the next time you log on to your company intranet, DoCRM
will automatically synch with your main server depending
on the value you set. Or you can engage synchronization
immediately to update the database.
Functionality:
Can the sales manager distribute leads with
DoCRM?
Yes.
Because it’s built-in to the functionality, the sales
manager can distribute leads with the touch of
a button. Additionally, the sales manager can follow up
on the progress of the sales rep that received the lead
at any time.
Can
DoCRM be customized for my company specific needs?
Yes. Most likely you can do it yourself.
That being said, if you have a need for a specific functionality,
and we feel it would improve the value of DoCRM, we would
not charge you. As long as your Annual Maintenance Contract
is valid, the new functionality would be available with
the next upgrade. If there is functionality specific to
your organization, there may be a charge involved.
Is
the Administrator version of DoCRM different from the version
the sales rep or end user will see?
Yes.
The first person that registers for a company automatically
becomes the administrator. The administrator version has
additional functionality required to maintain DoCRM not
found in the end-user version. It is the administrator’s
responsibility to initially set up the system. The benefit
is the administrator can determine how DoCRM is organized
and which sales reps or end users have access to what data.
Also, the original administrator can assign additional
users
administrator privileges at any time.BACK
